Three Trade Secrets For Success

Three super simple tools to use every day to work more efficiently, create success, and stay organized.

I am often asked about my behind the scenes trade secrets that I use in running my business now and when I was in practice.  I am constantly researching new tools and gadgets, and learning from peers and colleges.  But my most powerful tools aren’t anything new or special, so I decided to share them with you.

These three tools that I’m going to share with you cost little to nothing and I use them every day.  They help me work more efficiently, create success, and most importantly keep my life organized.  Being organized is a lot of work, and requires constant attention, but that is why we have tools like this to make life easier.

It is so easy to come into work, let someone else hand you your schedule, tell you what to do and where to go and put your brain on autopilot.  But I’m telling you it is a killer to your growth because you lose control of your success and your destiny.

The first tool is something super cheap and simple.  You probably already use one in your practice but not in the way I’m about to explain.  It’s a stop watch.  I use it in running my business now but it was super beneficial in my dental practice.

If you’re using one now, it’s when you need to let a patient sit to allow impression material to set up or for them to get numb.  But this task is usually delegated to your team member for them to keep up with.  But we all know how easy it is for time to get away from us.  That patient sitting 10 minutes to get numb, turns into 15 minutes, then 20 minutes, because you’re getting pulled in all different directions.

To keep myself more accountable of my time, I kept the stopwatch with me.  I would set the timer and clip it to my lab coat; it was with me at all times.  It made me very aware and conscious of time.  Because if you get 10 minutes behind with each patient your entire day is off track and you’re never able to catch up.

I still use my stopwatch for productivity time and blocking my activities. In the video I give you other uses for the stopwatch, plus I tell you my other two secrets to success.  I have a feeling you are going to be very surprised with #2.
