Planning For Success

Success doesn’t happen by accident, it’s all about planning.

I enjoy these making these videos for you because I am able to share tips, strategies, and techniques to keep your schedule full and get more dental patients. So I wanted to talk about planning for your success. And I say planning because it doesn’t happen by accident.

Planning means ‘taking time to set things in motion by mapping it out’. I have 4 stages of planning for you to implement with your team to help keep positive momentum going in your office. It isn’t difficult at all, and once you set these stages in motion they will become very natural to you and you will wonder how you ever survived without them.

The first stage is a daily morning huddle. This little 5 minute huddle that is so important I created an entire segment on it. Because today is the most important day. You have the most control over today. You can’t change yesterday, and tomorrow is too far away. Work on today.

I want you and your team to dedicate a just 5-10 minutes each morning to this time. It’s so informal there is no need to even sit down, just gather in the hallway or central area, everyone will run through their agenda for the day, marking opportunities for further growth and making sure everyone is informed, as well as being on the same page. When you’re done you hit the ground running.

The second stage is a weekly meeting. This meeting is really sets the stage for success because it syncs everyone. It helps re-calibrate your staff into a team in all aspects of your office. I get resistance about weekly meetings a lot because ‘the assistants don’t need to know what the front office is doing’. But I feel it is quite the opposite. Everyone on your team should know what the others are doing. It will decrease drama and give a new appreciation for what others do. Plus it allows you to make sure your entire team is trained (or retrained) so there is consistency in all systems of the practice.

I know the second stage will really set you on track for the success, but the next two will really blow that success out of the water. So you won’t want to miss taking a few minutes to watch the full video so you can see the last two stages to planning your success.

In this video, you’ll learn about:
