Reaching your dream practice goals by working backwards from your envisioned success.
Frustrated by not getting the results you were hoping for from your goals?
I wanted to share this tactic with you, because not only do I use this in running my own business, but it will also help you achieve your ideal dream practice. Where your schedule is always full and you have the best dental marketing in your area.
I’m talking about running your dental practice backward. When you do this it empowers you to have clear goals and visions to take you further.
When you let circumstances get the best of you, you will find yourself at the mercy of the problem, instead of being in control of it. This is when things out of your control like the economy take over.
Don’t let your practice run you, you need to be running your practice. I know you may be thinking, ‘But Ginger, I went through all my training to become a dentist because that’s what I love doing, I didn’t want to run a business. But the fact of the matter is, you are a business owner and once you lay out the framework for your success it will be easier than you ever imagined.

So I want you to try this exercise. I want you to sit down and take some time to envision your perfect dental practice…everything runs the way you want and you are just cranking along, write it all down. The key to making this work though is by being realistic and also being brutally honest with yourself.
Then, in the next column, I want you to write down what you are personally doing to achieve these objectives. If you have a certain goal of production then what do you have to do daily, weekly, and monthly to meet that goal?
It’s about taking charge of the situation. You can’t be at A and think you’re going to make it Z without taking charge. In the video, I explain even further how to break this exercise down so that you work backward from your dream practice to reach your goal by starting with the end game in mind.
