Building checks and balances in your patient attraction plan is essential to create the foundation for growing your practice. 
 
Checks and balances exist in all other areas of your practice. You have systems for collections, insurance filing, ordering supplies, and tray set up. 
 
When it comes to the area of dental marketing, I find that they are nonexistent most of the time. This can often creates issues when it comes to growing the practice.

Here are some tips to help you create a checks and balance system in your own practice:
  1. The first item necessary is a marketing calendar. This will allow everybody in the office to be on the same page about what is happening and when.
  2. Time and resources committed to patient reactivation. Of course you want to bring more new patients into your practice, but don’t forget the patients you already have.
  3. A dedicated team member to complete a report for the doctor of what is getting done on a monthly basis to grow the practice and attract patients. This is a simple one page summary report that includes what things are occurring on an ongoing basis to attract patients, what ideas didn’t get completed, results, what things the team member needs help on,  any questions, and what is planned each month for the next 3 months in your patient attraction system.

Follow these tips and but don’t be afraid to suggests some other ways to keep your practice in check.
