Facebook Posting Calendar

The value of consistently posting to your dental practice Facebook page can hold in your practice.

Consumed and overwhelmed by what you should be posting on Facebook?  Well, you aren’t alone.  It’s been a hot topic lately, and like always I like to stay keen on the needs of my dental community, so I’m here to give you another big takeaway on the power of Facebook – posting.

Facebook is a powerhouse, and is only continuing to grow, so it is a great idea for getting more patients for any dental practice.  But like any other business growth tool, you need to have strategies for implementing it.  I find one of the biggest obstacles practices have is what (and when) to post on their practice Facebook page.

If you’ve seen or heard any of my teachings about Facebook, then you know you should be posting at least once a day, 5 days a week.  Minimum.  Ideally, you would like to work up to posting a couple times a day.  And while I find most dental offices are only posting once a week or once a month that can be a scary number of posts to come up with each week.  But I promise you, it isn’t as hard as you may think.

Like anything other business tool, you need to put together a game plan and in this case it’s a Facebook posting schedule.  Where you will have a calendar telling you what you need to post each day and when.

You, or the designated team member in your office, will sit down once a week and schedule all of the posts for the entire week.  And the power the schedule gives you is that you don’t have to sit there and brain storm each week to come up with 5-10 posts, becoming a time-suck.  It’s all listed right there, what you need to post, on what day; you are simply filling in the blanks.

Another reason the posting calendar is so great because it overcomes the biggest fear I often hear from doctors:  they don’t want their staff sitting around wasting time on Facebook.  With the calendar it becomes a once a week job.  And once your designated team member gets the hang of it, the entire week’s posts can be done in less than an hour.  I can hear the doctors breathing a sigh of relief.

In the video, I give you a schedule to get you started, detailing what you should be posting each day.  Plus, I also show you how you will have your community (i.e. patients) coming to your dental page each week to get the news, which will act as a continuous reminder you are the dentist to see when they need to come in.  It’s a win-win.
