Facebook continues to invest in mobile and its users are liking the efforts so far.
The number of monthly active users for Facebook’s mobile apps recently passed 300 million, according to Benedict Evans of Enders Analysis. This puts mobile app use for Facebook at nearly 40 percent of total access.

"Facebook says they expect the majority of their use, and even their internal focus, to be on mobile in the coming years," according to Josh Williams, president of user analytics firm, Kontagent.
Mobile presence creates financial strength
The report comes as overall use of social networking sites via mobile devices continues to grow. Juniper Research, a company that studies social behaviors, predicts that 1.3 billion consumers will rely on their mobile devices to access social media sites by 2016!
And because of Facebook’s growth and domination in mobile it is expected to great its initial public offering to be one of the biggest IPOs in the past decade!
So what's that mean to dentists
BIG NOTE: Facebook is also expected to launch a mobile advertising strategy next year as it continues to look for ways to monetize its significant user base.
This is a key opportunity for dentists with a mobile presence to dominate their territory first and a key tool to tie social media together with mobile marketing for profitability.
