Adjusting Your Practice To Policy Changes

Adjusting your practice to avoid big box dental corporations running you out of business.

As I’m sure most everyone knows by now… it’s an election year!

Don’t worry; I’m not here to trash talk candidates.  But with any election year comes policy changes.

The presidential candidates aren’t the only things people are voting on.  So if you’re a business owner you need to be aware of these policies and make sure your business is prepared for the changes.

Here in Oklahoma, we have several hot topic items on our ballot this year.  One in particular is really rubbing me the wrong way and I just had to shoot you a quick video training to talk about it because the thought process here will affect your practice if not this year, soon.

So I scrapped our previously scheduled topic for the week, set up the camera here in my t-shirt to share it with you.

The big topic on Oklahoma’s ballot that has a lot of people up in arms is to update to the state’s liquor laws.

So we have two spectrums of view on this debate (and it’s all related to control and business).  On one hand, you have businesses that want to be able to sale more products and provide more of what their customers want (grocery and retail stores).  Then you have the liquor stores who completely oppose it because they think the grocery stores are going to run them out of business.  They are playing the victim.

I hear these same exact complaints from dental practices all the time.  The big box dental corporations are coming in my town and running the solo owned practices out of business.  Sound familiar?

Which is exactly why I had to take a couple minutes to shoot my soapbox video for you.  I explain how the concerns the Oklahoma liquor stores are dealing with can be easily overcome and they will not go out of business if they adjust to the changes rather than getting angry and being stubborn.  And this same thinking can be applied to your dental practice.

In this video, you’ll learn about:

  • Policy changes during election year
  • How to compete with big box dental practices
  • Adjusting your mindset to change
Please take a few minutes and watch the video above– do it for you and for your practice.
I wish you nothing but success,
Ginger
