Increasing Revenue Per Transaction

I’m live on location giving you a business lesson from Disney, increasing revenue while providing a better patient experience.

Marketing is always in the forefront of my mind, and that doesn’t shut off when I’m out of the office.  So, of course whenever I travel, for business or pleasure, my marketing thinking cap is still on and I always try to get an on-location video strategy lesson for you.

As you can see when you watch my video below, I am coming to you live from the ocean while sailing on a Disney cruise.  It isn’t always the easiest thing when shooting on location to find a quiet location to record (especially while at sea), so bear with me.  I got some inspiration and didn’t want to miss the chance to share this with you.

It’s no secret I am a huge Disney fan, not only because they are they known for being ‘the happiest place on Earth’, but also because they have a lot of notable marketing and business strategies if you look a little deeper.  While they aren’t perfect, I do like to share insights on what they do right from a business standpoint.

One of the things Disney is great at is the ability to increase revenue per customer transaction.  If you have a patient that comes in wanting X and they leave happy with XYZ, that’s great for everyone.  The key is structuring the process where they are excited with their decision.

Now, the key to increasing revenue per transaction, and this is where Disney really excels, is it has to be done in a fun easy way.  You aren’t selling them something for business to increase your revenue; you are selling them something that serves them better.

This came up while on the cruise, because we were eating, sleeping, breathing all things Disney having a great time.  And nobody wants the time of their life to stop.  So, they are giving their customers an opportunity to save to continue to have more fun.  They are catching you while you are at the peak of your happiness, not after I get home and realize how tired I am, or before we arrive and see all the fun to be had.  They do it at the customers’ optimal moment of happiness, when you never want the fun to stop.

In the video, I dive a little deeper into the way Disney is so successful at increasing revenue per transaction, where most other business fail.  Plus, of course, I tie it all together in how you can apply this in your dental practice to better serve your patients.  Because when your patients leave having a better experience you are in turn creating patients for life.

In this video, you’ll learn about:
